The power management system for Mandaram Eco Resort is designed to efficiently monitor and control the power consumption of the resort. The system uses a Raspberry Pi, NodeMCU chip, and a power monitoring device to monitor the power requirements of the hotel based on reservations. The power monitoring device is connected to the Raspberry Pi using the MODBUS protocol.
The Raspberry Pi has several Python programs that interact with the power monitoring device and a web server that hosts a web application. The web application's front-end is developed using Microsoft view JS, and the back-end is written in Python. The database used in the system is SQL lite.
To synchronize data with the Azure IOT hub, Microsoft IoT Hub runs on the Raspberry Pi. The web API hosted on the Raspberry Pi reads and writes data from/to the Azure SQL database. Microsoft Power Apps in Office 365 are used as front-end applications to control and monitor the power management system. The Power Apps communicate with the Azure SQL database via the web API.
Dataverse is used as the data platform to retrieve analytical data from the system. With this power management system, the Mandaram Eco Resort can efficiently manage its power consumption and reduce its energy costs.
